Volunteer

Washington DC Pickleball is led and staffed by unpaid volunteers. We’d love to have you help!

  • Two blue pickleball paddles crossed on a court with a yellow pickleball ball in the center and a white dotted line beneath.

    Volunteer Site Coordinator

Greet newcomers and help them to integrate into the group, including their signing up with DPR. Ensure that the player rotation is aided by the points per game and by actual player rotation, i.e., some sit out. De-escalate behavioral incidents. Ensure that equipment is taken down and put away properly, and enlist a few other players to help. Let WDCP leadership  know when there is a need for new balls or replacement nets.

  • An elderly woman and man smiling on a tennis court, holding a paddle with a compass design, with other people playing tennis in the background.

    Board Assistance

As unpaid volunteers, the Board can always use assistance in its several roles - membership relations, advocacy, operations, competition, social events, social media posts, and website posts.

  • People playing pickleball on indoor courts with a blue court in the foreground and green court in the background.

    Tournament Assistance

Setting up and conducting tournaments, of which we do at least one per year, requires lots of volunteer help. We could use yours.
